In Plain Language: Carry the validated PFT participation results into the following-year SARC, preserve the correct school/year relationship, and reconcile local calculations to the current CDE definition.

Why this matters

This is a lagged handoff: the assessment occurs in one year and is published in the next SARC. Staff turnover or weak archives can disconnect the denominator, participation definition, and school attribution.

Primary ownership

Primary owner: SARC coordinator with the PFT/data coordinator. Handoff partners: SIS/enrollment, schools, PE/adapted PE, communications/web, superintendent designee, and records staff.

Operational workflow

  1. 1. At PFT closeout, archive school-level eligible rosters, component records, exceptions, and final participation calculations.
  2. 2. Before SARC drafting, confirm the reporting year, school attribution, numerator/denominator, and suppression/privacy rules.
  3. 3. Reconcile local results to the current SARC template and CDE guidance.
  4. 4. Obtain PFT/data-owner signoff, publish by the SARC deadline, and retain the calculation.
