In Plain Language: Prepare site evidence for the annual community-schools progress process, and verify whether a separate site submission is required for the covered cycle.

Why this matters

Keep the allocation, reporting cycle, responsible entity and receiving system explicit. A county planning date, a historical portal window and a statutory deadline are different kinds of evidence.

Ownership and recipient

Responsible owner: Community-school site lead with the LEA CCSPP coordinator. Recipient: LEA coordination and any CDE/S-TAC system named in applicable instructions.

Requirement, applicability and cycle controls

  • Keep implementation progress, outcomes, sustainability planning and expenditure reporting distinct. Do not automatically create a second standalone sustainability filing for 2027.
  • Identify the award/cohort, implementation year, schoolsite, funding pathway and covered reporting period before applying legacy grant instructions.
  • Under EC 8903, the LEA has an annual progress-report obligation. That alone does not establish an independently due statewide schoolsite form or the county reference’s proposed 2027 cutoff.

Operational workflow

  1. Identify each funded site and applicable grant/ongoing-program instructions.
  2. Collect implementation progress, pupil outcomes, family/community participation, supports and sustainability evidence with site partners.
  3. Confirm whether the current APR embeds sustainability and whether the site responds directly or supplies the LEA.
  4. Record the issuing CDE/S-TAC notice, actual deadline and local preparation target separately.
  5. Review, submit only as instructed, and retain source responses and receipt.

Evidence to retain

  • Award/cohort record
  • Current form and issuing notice
  • Site evidence and stakeholder input
  • LEA handoff and any required submission confirmation
