Paessler PRTG Network Monitor is a general-purpose infrastructure-monitoring platform. It collects status and performance information from networks, servers, applications, cloud services, storage, power systems, environmental sensors, and other devices through protocols and interfaces such as SNMP, flow data, WMI, packet inspection, APIs, and vendor-specific sensors. District IT teams use alerts to investigate outages affecting school services.
An infrastructure event can explain disruption across several applications. IT staff connect timestamps, affected equipment, and service dependencies when tracing an outage or planning maintenance.
