FortiEDR

Overview

Overview

FortiEDR is endpoint detection and response software from Fortinet. FortiEDR monitors endpoint activity, identifies suspicious behavior, and supports containment, investigation, and response workflows. District IT teams use it to investigate threats on managed computers and servers.

Endpoint activity needs account, device, and event context to support investigation. Security staff coordinate containment and recovery with service owners so response actions account for dependent school and business work. Detection and response are separate parts of the workflow. Staff preserve the event context and review the effect of containment or remediation on legitimate district activity.
