How to read these results

Annual RFEP rate = reclassified student count ÷ English learner count. The denominator counts students last enrolled as an English learner during the academic year, including those who reclassified. It is not cumulative English learner enrollment.

District/county records use CDE’s district aggregation (AggType = D, Charter = ALL, DASS = ALL). Charter-school records use AggType = S and Charter = Y. District/county totals can include charter students also shown in individual charter rows. Do not sum the table rows. The statewide cards use CDE’s state record (AggType = T, Charter = ALL, DASS = ALL).

Percentile ranks compare the rates of all 2,185 displayed reporting entities, with equal weight per entity and the midpoint for ties. Filters do not change ranks. These comparisons mix reporting levels and student populations. Small English learner counts can produce large rate changes. DASS identifies Dashboard Alternative School Status.

The displayed state rate is rounded to one decimal place. Row comparisons use CDE’s unrounded state rate (approximately 13.1975%). A row can display 13.2% and still be below the state rate.
