Designate and Activate the Primary LEA CAASPP Coordinator
An executive designation and access handoff that establishes who may manage TOMS, sites, testing windows, security, incidents, accessibility, completion, and results.
In Plain Language: The superintendent or charter administrator designates the primary coordinator, and the LEA confirms the person can access current systems, receive communications, and direct the full annual program.
Why this matters
The role holds extensive student information and secure-test authority. A stale name, shared account, or designation without operational capacity can stop every downstream task.
Primary ownership
Primary owner: superintendent or charter administrator for designation; designated LEA CAASPP coordinator for execution. Partners: technology, CALPADS, sites, special education, curriculum, communications, and executive backup.
Operational workflow
- 1. Submit/confirm the authorized primary coordinator.
- 2. After annual rollover, verify TOMS access, profile, notifications, and required security forms.
- 3. Name a trained backup and map site, data, technology, accessibility, security, incident, and results owners.
- 4. Publish the annual coordinator calendar and escalation contacts.
