Prepare the 2025–26 SSPDBG Annual Expenditure Report
Prepare the required annual expenditure information for the 2025–26 SSPDBG allocation and submit according to the current CDE reporting notice.
Keep annual reporting separate from the two allocation closeouts
For the 2025–26 allocation: spend through June 30, 2029 and report final expenditures by September 30, 2029. For the 2026–27 allocation: spend through June 30, 2032 and report by September 30, 2032. These are separate future closeouts, not this annual report’s deadline. The exact annual reporting date remains pending the applicable CDE notice. Allocation-by-allocation spending and final-report guide.

In Plain Language: Prepare the required annual expenditure information for the 2025–26 SSPDBG allocation and submit according to the current CDE reporting notice.
Why this matters
The 2025–26 and 2026–27 grants have different authorities and funding records. The same short program name must not merge their reports or balances.

Professional-learning lead and business services, with HR/program owners
Required distinctions and controls
- CDE’s January 19, 2026 apportionment letter requires annual expenditure reports for the 2025–26 grant. Its final-report deadline is September 30, 2029.
- CDE’s newer 2026–27 apportionment has a separate funding record and a September 30, 2032 final-report deadline. Do not assume its annual reporting rules are identical.
- The exact first annual deadline shown in the county reference was not independently established in the current CDE material reviewed here. Confirm the reporting notice instead of publishing September 30, 2026 as a verified statewide date. An RCOE example plan is optional.
Recommended LEA workflow
- Identify the allocation, current CDE instructions and reporting period.
- Keep separate grant ledgers and reconcile the applicable expenditures to payroll, contracts and program records.
- Check costs against the covered grant’s permitted purposes and employee-fee conditions.
- Prepare and review the annual expenditure response with fiscal/program owners.
- Submit when directed by CDE; preserve the submitted state, receipt and unresolved correction issues.
Evidence to retain
- Allocation-specific ledger
- CDE annual-report notice
- Allowable-cost support
- Approved expenditure response
- Submission confirmation

Reviewed October 21, 2026. Confirm the current agency instructions, applicable funding year, recipient scope, local policy and final submitted or approved state before acting. Recommended preparation steps support the named requirement and do not create an additional statewide filing deadline.
