Provide Each Tested Student Individual PFT Results

A private, understandable results handoff that supports student reflection and family understanding without grading, ranking, diagnosing, or publicly identifying pupils.

In Plain Language: Give the pupil individual results orally or in writing after completion, using a private and understandable method. Explain the fitness areas and appropriate next steps without shame or unsupported health conclusions.

Why this matters

Individual feedback is the student-facing purpose of the PFT. Delayed, public, or unexplained results can undermine that purpose and create privacy or equity concerns.

Primary ownership

Primary owner: administering PE/adapted PE staff under the PFT coordinator. Handoff partners: student, parent/guardian, special education/504, health staff when appropriate, and records/data staff.

Operational workflow

  1. 1. Validate pupil identity and component results before communication.
  2. 2. Prepare an accessible explanation of completed areas, missing components, and what the result means.
  3. 3. Deliver privately after completion; provide language/disability access and a question route.
  4. 4. Correct errors and document delivery under the local record process.
