Post the Approved LCAP Prominently on the LEA Homepage
An operational guide to the public posting step in the 2026–27 LCAP accountability cycle.
In Plain Language: Publish the approved LCAP package through a prominent homepage link that families and community members can find without knowing the district’s internal department structure.
Why this matters
A file technically present somewhere on a website is not the same as a prominent, usable public posting. The online copy must remain accessible, current, and complete.
Primary ownership
Primary owner: communications/web owner with the LCAP lead. Partners: superintendent’s office, business services, accessibility lead, language-access staff, and records staff.
Operational workflow
- 1. Lock the approved public files and accessible versions.
- 2. Create a plainly labeled homepage link and stable destination.
- 3. Post the full package, including the Budget Overview for Parents.
- 4. Test anonymously on desktop/mobile and verify downloads open correctly.
- 5. Assign recurring link, accessibility, and superseded-version checks.
Implementation pathway
Evidence to retain
- Approved public files
- Homepage and destination URLs
