Complete PFT Make-Ups Before the Window Closes
A component-level exception process for absence, interruption, incomplete testing, transfer, and authorized access needs.
In Plain Language: Run exception reports early, determine what each pupil still needs, and provide reasonable make-up opportunities before May 31.
Why this matters
A pupil can appear “tested” while required components remain missing. Late discovery leaves no lawful window for correction and weakens participation reporting.
Primary ownership
Primary owner: site PFT lead under the LEA coordinator. Handoff partners: attendance, PE/adapted PE, special education/504, health, registrar, data staff, and families.
Operational workflow
- 1. Run pupil-by-component exceptions throughout the window.
- 2. Classify each exception: absence, transfer, access/health, interruption, entry error, or other approved reason.
- 3. Schedule trained staff, safe conditions, permitted supports, and family/student communication.
- 4. Enter and validate completed components; escalate unresolved cases before May 31.
- 5. Freeze the final exception list and hand it to results and SARC reporting owners.
