Hold the Annual Materials-Sufficiency Hearing and Adopt the Resolution

In Plain Language: Use current site and course evidence, hold the public hearing during the first eight weeks, and adopt a resolution addressing required core subjects, health and foreign language, and high-school science laboratory equipment.

Why this matters

Districtwide inventory can hide shortages caused by enrollment, schedules, English learner components, IEP needs, home digital access, new courses, or delayed delivery.

Primary ownership

Primary owner: curriculum and instructional-materials lead. Governance owner: governing board and board office. Partners: principals, teachers, enrollment, EL, special education and accessibility, IT, library and textbook staff, procurement, fiscal, high-school science, legal, and auditors.

Operational workflow

  1. 1. Calculate the first-day and eighth-week window and complete sufficiency surveys early.
  2. 2. Reconcile enrollment, schedules, materials, home access, EL components, IEP needs, health and foreign language, and laboratory equipment.
  3. 3. Post compliant notice and hold the hearing at an accessible time.
  4. 4. Present evidence and testimony and adopt the correct resolution.
  5. 5. If insufficient, publish percentages and reasons and activate the two-month correction plan.
