Complete the 2027–28 CCSPP Opt-In
Confirm eligible schoolsites and their planning or implementation status, then complete the CDE CCSPP opt-in for 2027–28 by June 1, 2027.
In Plain Language: Confirm eligible schoolsites and their planning or implementation status, then complete the CDE CCSPP opt-in for 2027–28 by June 1, 2027.
Why this matters
A site’s inclusion in a local plan does not establish a completed state funding-participation submission.
Primary ownership
Community-schools lead, fiscal services and superintendent or authorized representative
Required distinctions and controls
- Use the CDE platform’s eligible-site list and current eligibility rules. The CDE FAQ includes an existing-implementation-grantee eligibility pathway, including a nonclassroom-based charter exception; do not use a blanket exclusion.
- Keep new sites, current implementation grantees and transitions to ongoing funding distinct. Confirm the participation instructions for each site.
- An R-TAC or county office can provide assistance. Its local preparation schedule does not replace the state opt-in date.
Recommended LEA workflow
- Obtain authorized platform access and the current CDE instructions.
- Match the eligible-site list to CDS identifiers and the LEA’s grant/participation records.
- Review each site’s proposed planning or implementation status with site and fiscal owners.
- Complete required contacts, program information and attestations and obtain authorized approval.
- Submit before the state deadline and retain the final site list and confirmation.
Evidence to retain
- Eligible-site reconciliation
- Approved participation/status decisions
- Required attestations
- Opt-in confirmation
