Why this matters

Course, staff, and service records must join across systems and schools; a clean upload can still produce inaccurate certification reports.

Primary ownership

Primary owner: CALPADS administrator with HR, course scheduling, EL program, CTE, school sites, and credential/staff data owners. Certification owner: authorized LEA certifier.

Operational workflow

  1. 1. Confirm calendar, roles, access, extracts, local freeze/reproducibility, and partner deadlines.
  2. 2. Post current files and resolve fatal input errors at the authoritative source.
  3. 3. Run certification reports early and distribute pupil-level detail to program owners.
  4. 4. Maintain a variance log with owner, source correction, resubmission, and verification.
  5. 5. Schedule certification, amendment, and backup coverage before local staff availability declines.
