An advanced Japanese course providing cultural themes, vocabulary, grammar, communication practice, and AP-style assessment preparation.
Dekiru! An AP Japanese Preparation Course is published by Cheng & Tsui and written by Hiromi Peterson, Naomi Hirano-Omizo, and Junko Ady. Twenty lessons develop Japanese language and cultural knowledge through vocabulary, grammar, collaborative work, and listening, speaking, reading, and writing practice. Lessons are organized around AP cultural themes and can be taught in different sequences. The publisher positions the course for students who have completed approximately three to four years of high school Japanese. Printed materials are supported by audio and digital resources.

Publication: the ISBN’s bibliographic record dates the print edition to July 21, 2017. San Juan lists adoption in 2018; the district’s later board materials also describe a 2018 text, so that local year should not replace the verified ISBN publication date.

Note: SDLA does not endorse or resell any products listed on the site. They are listed simply to aid in the development of integration resources for school district ed-data leaders.
