Sown to Grow: VIDEOS

Sown To Grow is a student SEL and reflection platform that empowers schools to improve student social, emotional, and academic health through an easy and engaging reflection and feedback process. In a short weekly routine, students check-in emotionally and reflect on the strategies that are working best for them (or new ones to try). They start with a focus on emotional wellbeing, and expand to SEL competencies and/or academic goal-setting over time. Teachers, principals, and counselors access real-time reporting on students’ emotions and can proactively intervene to support student needs (see below for an example). The system also includes built-in SEL assessment, supporting mini-lessons, and powerful artifacts of growth. Sown To Grow serves hundreds of schools nationally, and is funded by the US Department of Education, the National Science Foundation, and Digital Promise.
