CERT047
Teaching Staff Assignment Missing
SeverityError Description
A course section includes a SEID for which there is no valid teaching assignment information.
Suggested Resolution
Verify that the course section data is valid. If not valid, remove the course section or correct the SEID making sure that the corrected SEID has a Staff Assignment record with a Job Classification for a teacher. If the course section data is valid, submit a Staff Assignment record with a Job Classification for a teacher. See Glossary in CALPADS User Manual for information on the following Staff Data: Teacher
Additional information: The CRSE file contains a record for a teacher but there is no Staff Assignment (SASS) record for that teacher. It's the same logic as seen in the graphic below, except that in this case you are missing a Staff Assignment record instead of a staff Demographic record:
You can see this top-down pyramid graphic to give you another example. If you don't have a staff assignment record for, let's say "Mr. Jones, 4th period Biology teacher", and you then try and upload the 3rd file in the sequence, the course section record, it will create this error. Because the files must be uploaded in order, it is very likely that this error is NOT in your CRSE file but in a missing staff assignment in the SASS file.
