Delete submitted for non-existing record
SeverityFATAL error - Must be corrected in order to post the record and/or certify your data.
Error Description
The submitted record attempts to delete a record that does not exist in CALPADS.
Suggested Resolution
Note! Unlike most records, SPED data records cannot be manually changed in CALPADS. The data can only be changed by submitting a new SPED file directly from your SPED program (e.g. SEIS, Siras, Welligent, etc.) Please reference our community forum area on this subject for answers to specific questions.
Understanding the Error: The SPED file contains a Delete (D) transation type and the record in the ODS with the same operational key (see Fields Validated column) does not exist.
Things to check for in submission: Verify that the fields listed in the Fields Validated column are correct in the submitted file.
Suggested Resolution:
1) Verify the special education record exists in CALPADS by searching for the SSID provided in the submission. If the SSID does not exist in the ODS, determine the correct SSID for the special education record that is to be deleted and correct the SSID in the SPED file.
OR
2) If the fields Reporting LEA/Reporting SELPA and/or Student Special Education Meeting or Amendment Identifier in the submission do not match the CALPADS ODS, obtain the correct values and re-submit the SPED file with the correct validated fields.
