Mismatch Of SSID Demographics For Enrollment Update

Understanding the Error:

When a record is submitted to modify an existing enrollment record (i.e. enrollment update), CALPADS confirms that the update is being applied to the right student's record. To make this confirmation, CALPADS matches the SSID, the Student Gender Code, and the Year of the Student Birth Date in the submitted record with the same fields in the ODS record that is to be modified. If these fields do not match, CALPADS rejects the enrollment update.

Things to check for in submission:

Verify that the fields listed in the Fields Validated column are correct in the submitted file.

Suggested Resolution:

1) Verify that the correct SSID was included in the file for the student whose enrollment is being updated. If the SSID is incorrect, correct it and resubmit the file.

OR 2) Verify that the gender and year of birth are correct in the file for the SSID whose enrollment is being updated. If either is incorrect, correct the value and resubmit the file.

OR 3) Determine if an enrollment record exists in CALPADS for the SSID included in the file. If record exists, verify that the Student Gender Code and Year of the Student Birth Date are correct in CALPADS. If either is incorrect, submit a Student Information record (SINF) to correct the fields and then re-submit the enrollment update.
