Missing Student Initial US School Enrollment Date

Severity
FATAL error - Must be corrected in order to post the record and/or certify your data.

Error Description

If Student Grade Level Code = KN, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, UE, or US, and English Language Acquisition  Status = EL (English Learner), Then Student Initial US School Enrollment Date must be populated.

Suggested Resolution

Understanding the Error:  All KN-12 UE or US students with an English Language Status (ELAS) of English Learner (EL) must have the Student Initial US School Enrollment Date (2.25) populated.

Suggested Resolution:  Populate the Student Initial US School Enrollment Date K-12 (2.25) field with the date the student began Grade KN - 12 in a public or private school (including home school) in the United States and Puerto Rico (does not include US territories).
