Benchmark assessments are assessments administered periodically throughout the school year to evaluate students’ knowledge and skills relative to an explicit set of longer-term learning goals. The design and choice of benchmark assessments is driven by the purpose, intended users, and uses of the instruments.

I-Ready Annual Typical Growth

The "Annual Typical Growth" aspect of the i-Ready assessment system refers to the expected rate of academic growth that students are projected to achieve over the course of a school year. It provides educators with insights into how much progress students are expected to make in their reading and math skills based on their individual starting points or prior achievement levels.

NWEA Conditional Growth Index

The Conditional Growth Index (CGI) is a statistical measure used in the NWEA Growth assessment system to evaluate the academic progress of students over time. It provides insights into how much academic growth students are expected to make based on their starting point or prior achievement levels.
