If SSID is retired and (Student Gender Code and Student Date of Birth Year in file) match (Student Gender Code and Student Date of Birth Year) of current SSID in ODS, then replace with active SSID for student.
Suggested Resolution
Understanding the Error: The SSID submitted in the Special Education File is Retired and the replacement SSID was used to verify that the data submitted was being applied to the right student's record. CALPADS matched the replacement SSID, the Student Gender Code, and the Year of the Student Birth Date in the submitted record with the same fields in the ODS record that was to be modified. The fields matched. Therefore, CALPADS has accepted the student special education update.
Things to check for in submission: None, since the student special education update was accepted.
Suggested Resolution:
1) Replace the Retired SSID in your local record keeping system with the replacement SSID so that future CALPADS input files will be submitted with the student's new SSID.
