Jamf School is a cloud Apple device-management platform designed specifically for K–12 environments. It helps district and school staff enroll, configure, inventory, update, and secure institutionally owned Mac, iPad, iPhone, and Apple TV devices while organizing administration around schools, classes, teachers, and students.
Class and school membership give Apple device policies their local context. Technology staff coordinate managed identities, application access, and device assignments as learners and equipment move through the school year. Configuration and assignment are related but different records. Device administrators coordinate those sources with identity and inventory owners when school or user circumstances change.

Automated Apple deployment
- Connects with Apple School Manager and automated enrollment to prepare district-owned devices with minimal handling.
- Applies profiles, restrictions, applications, and settings based on locations, groups, classes, or users.
Application and content management
- Distributes managed applications, documents, web clips, and other approved resources.
- Provides self-service options and application controls appropriate to students, teachers, and managed devices.
Classroom workflows
- Gives teachers tools to prepare lessons, guide device use, restrict distractions, and distribute resources.
- Supports class structures and shared-device scenarios common in schools.
Education companion apps
- Jamf Teacher gives educators authorized classroom controls.
- Jamf Student, Jamf Parent, and Jamf Assessment provide role-specific functions when enabled by the district.
Inventory and security
- Tracks device, operating-system, application, user, and configuration information.
- Supports smart groups, role-based administration, remote commands, update workflows, and Apple security settings.
