Overview
Engage provides modern management for the modern classroom by seamlessly connecting today’s teachers and learners – great for 1:1 initiatives, and more. Teachers can take control of their lessons by directing students’ attention, encouraging student interaction, and adjusting instruction based on student needs, all from an easy to use interface.

Features
Mobile Device Management
You can use FileWave to manage iOS and Android devices within the same interface you use to manage your Mac and Windows clients. FileWave supports Apple's Mobile Device Management (MDM). Its Layered and Institution models and Configurator provide seamless integration for app and profile deployment, resetting passwords, data protection, remote wipe, inventory reporting and more.

Mobile Device Management Made Easy
FileWave makes it easy to manage app deployments, profile management, and functions such as resetting passwords, remote wipe, inject network settings, email configuration, blocks for Youtube, iMessage, Safari, iTunes, iBook Store, explicit content, AirPlay and more. Create profiles using FileWave's Profile Editor, drag them into the FileWave admin interface and make associations for iOS devices. These associations can be scheduled for convenient deployment downloads. FileWave also allows you to utilize Apple's Layered and Institution deployment models. FileWave is capable of managing all of the iOS devices in your environment. Our solution even allows you to set custom configuration options for different device types.

Manage BYOD AND 1:1 Devices
You can easily access inventory information such as installed apps, MDM enrollment information, application deployment status, available device capacity, IP address, UDID, serial number, OS version, device name, MAC address, passcode present (true or false) and hardware for mobile devices. The multi-platform nature of FileWave allows you to run the server on a variety of operating systems including Windows, Apple OS X and Linux. The FileWave server can be hosted, virtualized, or placed on dedicated equipment, giving customers a reliable, powerful and scalable solution.

Self-Service Portal for On Demand Content
With FileWave, you can search the Apple Mobile App stores and associate specific apps to iOS mobiles devices. For Android we allow importing of .APK application files

Managed Distribution
FileWave version 7 (and up) supports Apple's Managed Distribution, allowing a FileWave administrator to assign apps to specific user accounts regardless of the Apple ID they used to setup the iOS device.  Managed distribution allows for revoking apps, so an institution can retain ownership of their purchased applications.

Parameterized Profiles
With many iOS deployments focusing on 1-to-1 or BYOD, the need for the systems administrator to create user-customized settings in profiles has become extremely important. In order to get users up and running quickly, you must either talk each and every user through the settings for their email and calendar, among other applications, or you can provide the users with a profile that allows them to use their LDAP login credentials to auto-populate the necessary settings. With FileWave, system admins can create custom parameterized profiles containing a set of "wildcard" values that will autofill with the user's login information from LDAP directories, such as Active Directory, Open Directory, or eDirectory.

Cloud Hosted or On-Premise
FileWave is committed to giving clients maximum flexibility and complete scalability. FileWave is able to provide users their own server, or when preferred, host the server for them in the Cloud. Naturally, clients have the ability to run their own FileWave server.
