Invalid Education Plan Type and Special Education Program Setting Combo

Severity
FATAL error - Must be corrected in order to post the record and/or certify your data.

Error Description

Education Plan Type Code and Special Education Program Setting Code combination must be a valid combination per the CALPADS Valid Code Combinations document.

Suggested Resolution

Understanding the error: Students with special Education Plan Types (IEP, IFSP, ISP) must be in appropriate settings.  There are 7 different Education Plan Type Codes (see chart below).  There are also 14 separate Special Education Program Setting Codes.  There are only 24 valid combinations of these two codes.  They are listed in the chart below.

Resolution: Verify the students Education Plan Type is correct in the CALPADS ODS. If the Education Plan Type is incorrect, update the SPED Education Plan. If the Education Plan Type is correct update the SPED Program setting code.
