Measured Progress & Illuminate Education partner up!

DOVER, N.H. (PRWEB) MAY 22, 2017

Measured Progress, Inc. is pleased to announce a partnership with Illuminate Education to add high-quality assessment content from Measured Progress to the Illuminate Education Intelligence platform.

As a result of this partnership, Measured Progress will make formative assessment items and pre-built quizzes in reading, mathematics, and science from the Measured Progress Formative Content Bank and STEM Gauge® available for use by mutual customers of Measured Progress and Illuminate Education.

"This is an ideal partnership," says Rich Swartz, Senior Vice-President of Strategy, Products, and Portfolio for Measured Progress. "Our two companies, which have been working together for a number of months, are both committed to helping teachers and students maximize learning. This new partnership fortifies a relationship that is already well-established and effective."

One district that uses Measured Progress content on the Illuminate platform is Boston Public Schools. "It's a very seamless relationship in terms of our district working together with Measured Progress," explains Nicole Wagner Lam, Executive Director of the Office of Data and Accountability for Boston Public Schools. "These partnerships support teachers in building a classroom culture of using formative assessment data to inform instruction and provide immediate feedback to students, while also preparing our students for a technology-based world."

Teachers and district leaders like Wagner Lam use the Illuminate platform to get immediate access to data and other evidence of student understanding gained from Measured Progress assessments. This information can help educators dramatically improve classroom instruction.

"Measured Progress is a highly regarded leader in the educational assessment field, and has been for more than thirty years. Our partnership gives broader access to the fruits of that leadership, allowing even more districts to be able to transform education," says Lane Rankin, founder and CEO of Illuminate Education.

The Measured Progress Formative Content Bank is a set of premium formative assessment items and preconfigured quizzes designed to help teachers gather classroom evidence of student learning. STEM Gauge is a formative assessment resource for science that supports classroom instruction in the transition to Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS®)*. In addition to providing these resources, Measured Progress helps districts create customized assessments on the platform of their choice, which now includes Illuminate Education.

Illuminate Education has three core products that make up its Education Intelligence Platform: Data and Assessment, which enables data-informed instruction; Student Information, which keeps schools organized with attendance, scheduling, and state reporting; and Illuminate Special Education, which provides a centralized system to create and manage IEPs. Together, these tools promote educator and student success.
