This site makes it very easy to see what software districts are using, which is the point. We might want to consider isolating this information behind vetted user access to prevent malicious use.

HI Gino. I agree. You now have to have a free membership in order to view the survey results. In addition, we only accept members who have a valid school district or recognized vendor email address.

Of course, all of this information (e.g. the specific software systems each school district uses), is public information and available freely on most district's websites under board notes. Or can be discerned from the websites themselves.

We have never called ANY school district to ask for any additional information outside of our annual survey, which we distributed only to members of the California Ed-Tec communities.

This site does not serve as a reseller site (we don't sell ads and have no business relationships with any vendors listed herein). We also do not send out Public Records Act requests to collect this information.

This has, from the start, been a personal project of mine designed to aid IT Directors in making smart purchase and integration decisions. I'm super glad you find the information valuable, and, because we are a community, I've listened to your concern and "firewalled" the data for only members to see.

Thanks for your input and your continued support of this project!

Sincerely,

Chris Moggia, Ed.D, PMP
